Navigating Difficult Dynamics
If you prefer to listen, here you go! Otherwise, read on…
In the spirit of thanks-giving, and in antithesis to the emails that are flooding my inbox, I am called to gift you (rather than sell) the workshop I facilitated yesterday on what it takes to navigate difficult dynamics over the holidays.
The workshop was different – there were no slides, no ‘how-to’s’, and no punches pulled. One woman on the live on the call described the experience as a “beautiful shift”. Another said “I got a massive part of my life back”. And another said after the call:
I’ll take that, because I am here to help women shift their perspective about themselves, their body, their mind. I’m here to help reframe powerlessness and turn it into power.
In other words – I want you to feel powerful in your life! I want you to reclaim your birthright as creator of your reality! I want you to know there’s a way to live in alignment with your Life Force!
The magic of the workshop is not in the content, but in the integration of the process. How that happens is through coaching in community – that is THE most powerful and most effective way to evolve.
Here’s why, and this was the theme that emerged from the coaching yesterday (not on the recording): integration of the shame that keeps the fear in place.
You see, shame is culture’s most powerful control mechanism.
It is THE most effective way to get people, especially women, to comply. Women will do anything to avoid feeling shame. And in the process of seeking to run away from shame, we fight it. In the fighting, we know we are powerless because the context that holds “shame – not-shame” in place is … shame.
The workshop will not speak to shame directly, because that theme emerged during the conversation, but it will speak to the process of how we choose to show up.
So, if you’re interested in exploring:
What if the context you’re perceiving from matters more than the content of what’s happening?
What questions could you ask yourself in a challenging moment that would actually expand your worldview?
What would it mean to live from an intentional process rather than a habituated one?
Please enjoy this gift from me and if there’s anything that shows up for you as you listen, email me to dive deeper together.
