The Body Doesn’t Lie

The body really IS the gateway to our evolution. Because it doesn’t lie. It cannot.

Your body reveals everything about your relationship with yourself. It’s right there, etched into your body — not just metaphorically, but physically. The way you move. Your posture. The way your jaw tightens when you speak. How you hold your breath. Your breathing patterns. The place where pain manifests. The disease you experience.

It’s a hard one to face into for most people because the truth genuinely hurts.

So does untruth — but this pain we’re familiar with, so even though it hurts it also feels like a captor that’s become a friend. Stockholm Syndrome.

This begs the question: why do we stay in love with our captors?

The most obvious answer is familiarity. We repeat that which is familiar to our nervous system because it has been coupled with (the illusion of) safety. It’s true — the strategies that have now become familiar kept us safe at four, but we are no longer four.

Curious about the dominant strategies you picked up on growing up, what they mean and what to do about it?

Start with this free quiz designed to help you name the strategy so you can choose differently.

As creatures of pleasure, we are also wired to avoid pain.

And facing the truth of our experience means facing pain.

Because it’s a different kind of pain, an unfamiliar one, we falsely believe it will be more painful than the familiar pain. In other words, facing into the truth of our experience feels too risky because it is unfamiliar. This is why we construct a rather blurry reality, so we don’t have to see.

What don’t we want to see? Things like: maybe he wasn’t the kind of father you wanted to believe he was. Maybe forgiveness is overrated when violence was present. Maybe your mother was never kind to you. Maybe your partner is reminiscent of your complex feelings about your father. Maybe those lines on someone’s face aren’t wisdom — they’re a map of unprocessed pain we’ve agreed not to name.

But no matter how hard we try — and I’ve worked with tens of women in deep and intimate experiences to know we try fucking hard — The body knows.

And when you try desperately to ignore it? It doesn’t go away. It gets louder.

This is why the allopathic lens isn’t enough. It doesn’t help you trust. It doesn’t help you see. It keeps you waiting — passively — for the next thing to treat the thing that treated the thing.

Your body doesn’t want a bandaid. It wants you to listen.

Because reality is not what you think, it’s not “out there.” It’s a vibration only your body can calibrate for. It’s how you feel what’s true. It’s how you know what’s real. It’s how you shape your reality.

When we live from the presuppositions of The CODE Model™, we stop playing pretend with ourselves and we start the practice of intentional listening.

What I’m saying is only going to speak to the women who know there’s something else going on here. You don’t know what might be going on, but you know it’s there.

And what I’m saying, in no uncertain terms, is that when your body speaks, listen. Even if it’s the hardest thing to do.

I want to show you how to listen.

The risk you’re taking? You won’t be who you were. You can’t be. That’s not a tragedy — that’s the invitation.

And the question becomes: will you conform and collapse? Or evolve and live?

If you’re ready to start listening differently — to your body, your Signal, your own unshakeable knowing — come to the Pain as Portal workshop. It’s $29. It won’t fix you, because you’re not broken. It will show you that you’re brilliant in your manifestations of pain.
