We all know that some of life’s most magical moments and experiences occur when two apparently very different things come together to create a new, grand whole.  Well, one of those experiences is in the making and will come to fruition at beautiful Oceanstone Inn from May 15-19, 2006.

Your artistic and written creativity will be explored and enhanced as you discover more about yourSelf through the mysteries of Huna.  Gwen and Louise once again invite a small group of like-minded journeyers to join them for 5 days of discovery and delight as we paint, write and engage ancient spiritual practices for quantum discoveries of Self.

The format is a simple one that involves daily gatherings that explore the inner landscape of You and then express the discoveries of Self through painting or writing ...or both.  The pace is a leisurely one to be sure so that The Muse has plenty of time and space to surface; instruction is available to the extent that it is useful; conversation of the highest order is plentiful as is the silence and space necessary to allow insights and connections to blossom.  And our setting on the shores of the North Atlantic in Spring is sure to inspire and renew.

This Creativity and Huna Retreat will appeal to anyone seeking a week of relaxed yet focused attention on what brings joy to your life.  Whether you are a neophyte or experienced artist, writer or Hunaphile, this Creativity and Huna experience is sure to feed your soul and whet your creative appetites.  Mornings will be open to you to paint, write, explore, visit, pamper yourself at the spa.  We’ll convene after lunch each day.  Some days our focus will be on group painting and writing experiences led by either Gwen or Louise.   Other days we’ll engage with Huna via conversation, enery work and meditations led by Louise.  There’ll be lots of time for a long, leisurely dinner at Oceanstone’s acclaimed Rhubarb Café and then we’ll reconvene for an evening of more creative expression or Huna practice.

For those who have experienced Louise’s annual Ohana Retreat Weekend, count on a very different experience of Huna during this retreat week.  Explorations will focus more on opening and inviting activation of the 3rd eye, Huna symbols that will expand connection to our essential creative nature and meditations that will evoke discovery and deepening of awareness of the artist within.

As always with a WEL-Systems approach to creativity all you have to do is bring your sense of adventure and a desire to explore and expand.  We’ll bring all the supplies necessary for you to paint in either watercolours or acrylics.  We’ll also bring journals for those who wish to write.

This Creativity and Huna Retreat is the maiden voyage of what we know will be an annual experience.  As such we are pleased to extend to you a special  one-time-only introductory offer of $1,500 for the 5-day experience   We already have a number of people who have expressed an interest in this Retreat so we encourage you to register early.  It goes without saying that if you have a special spot at Oceanstone it is best to book early to avoid disappointment.
