The Cover Design

It is not by accident that the cover has taken on this appearance.

Given that this is a book about letting go of things that are already dead, the black background implies moving into the void... moving into the 'no-thing-ness' that presents as we allow that which already is, to slip away and leave nothing in its place. And yet, the high-gloss expression tells us that there is something in the Void that calls to us... that draws our attention... as we consider that the Void is the empty space from which all things are created.

The essence of the book energetically is Fire.
Fire is the element of transformation and all that it touches is transformed into something else, at a higher level. The nature of the material; the language and thinking invoke an edge... a Fire-y expression...that invites things to become hot... to cause us to move ideas quickly like a hot potatoe from one hand to the other, in search of relief. And yet we discover that as we stay with it, and allow the ideas to wash over us, we begin to awaken to and feel a warmth moving through us. A sign of Life in flow!

The gold letter represents treasure and wealth and abundance... all of which lie in recognizing what is long dead and allowing ourselves to be freed of it! In finding the courage within ourselves to allow the Fire to move; and that which no longer serves us to be released, we move into the Void and discover the vast abundance that awaits us.

The journey is not without all that these things offer. Sometimes, Fire burns. Sometimes, we get lost in the dark and seemingly vast emptyness of the Void. And sometimes, no matter how hard we look, we can't find the gold that awaits us. And yet, when we allow ourselves to trust the truth that moves inside us, we find within it that which is required to shape the world.
