Whispers from Within
~ Layers of Discovery
 When a small group of women gather at Oceanstone for Whispers
from Within writing retreat, they are surprised that it is
not about writing, but is about using writing as a gateway for discovering
those deeper truths that lie just under our habits of behaviour and thought.
Intentionally designed to ensure comfort, ease and a sense of grace in how
we move through our world and who we may become, this five-day experience
is easy... effortless... and produces profound results. And yet, no one works
at it!
Imagine a way of moving through your world that makes it possible for profound
change to present without effort; a way of discovering what you really care
about without having to struggle for insights or force the natural genius of
who you are to perform on command. Contrary to what we may have been taught,
the truth of who we are and what matters to us is pressing to get out. All
we have to do is remember how to pay attention to it - and get out of the way.
My greatest discovery from these retreats, so far, is that there is a sequence
of (shall we say) events that take place. Each of these events is like a layer
of information/insight or discovery that reveals itself and paves the way for
the next one. I can't get to the last one until the ones ahead of it have been
revealed.
In addition, these layers pack their punch of awakening, not in the content
they contain but in the vibration they carry as they move through the physical
body. Vibrations of sound occur inside of us and outside of us. When what moves
inside of us matches to what moves outside of us, magic happens!
