Evolution by Intention: Designing a Life

Posted by on June 23, 2011 at 11:44 am

Episode 68 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/06/23 ~ Evolution by Intention: Designing a Life

We know only too well that ‘reality’ shapes our lives; and that we must capitulate to the greater forces ‘out there’ that determine our fate. For some, that is an undeniable truth. And yet for others, it carries no more weight than that of an invitation or suggestion.

We have been taught to believe that evolution is a byproduct of a response to these external forces, reshaping us to better emerge successfully from those ties that bind. But what if we’ve got it all wrong? What if we can evolve by intention, using inner cues as the requisite guidance to redefine and reshape outer realities?

Join Louise as she engages with two WEL-Systems® Institute Affiliates who know well the struggles and challenges that ‘reality’ presents; and who have chosen to redefine and redesign by their own hand, rather than succumb to habits of body and thought.

In conversation with: Noreen Mejias-Bennett and Kae Roberts – Certified CODE Model Coaches™ – who are discovering the power of defining ‘reality‘ from the inside out! Not without the uncertainty and changes of mind that accompany carving out a new path, these resourceful and capable women have discovered that that which carves out their destiny rests firmly in the palm of their own hand. To find out more about these women, visit Noreen’s website and Kae’s website

Creating Change in School – Part 2

Posted by on June 9, 2011 at 2:49 pm

Episode 66 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/06/09 ~ Creating Change in School – Part 2

It’s not easy being a teacher in today’s educational environments. Expectations are broad for those who are charged to walk a narrow path… filled with constraints, directives and consequences for missing the mark. Some teachers face the daily drama of weapons checks and violence in the hallowed halls of learning; while others must contend with the unspoken need for them to parent their young charges who arrive unfed and without benefit of someone at home who can and will care.

Perhaps it’s time for us to look beyond the obvious and find ways to address the whispered concerns in a broader, more public exploration that can lead to change. In defiance of the stoic front, the statistics on the chronic and long-term leave as a result of physical and emotional stress; as well as the presence of mood-altering pharmaceuticals tell a different tale. Are we ready to know a different truth? If those on ‘the inside’ are willing to speak, are we as the parents/administrators/politicians ready to hear?

Join Louise for the next layer in this exploration of what it is to be in today’s teaching environments. What are the challenges? Where are the secrets? And what new, uncovered truths might make a difference?

In conversation with:

Leona McIsaac Moran- Certified CODE Model Coach™ – as she returns to continue the exploration begun in Episode 35, “Creating Change in School”. An experienced professional in the educational system of Prince Edward Island, Leona is a leadership coach within the educational system, committed to working with the people who so profoundly influence the lives of our children. Leona recognizes that the path to a different future rests firmly in their capable hands.

Anita Allen – Certified CODE Model Coach™, registered physiotherapist, accomplished business woman, published author, educator and founder of Alternative Physio. Anita brings her deeply personal experience of engaging with the school system to ensure the special needs of her child are met.  To find out more visit Anita’s web site

Mental Health: A new view from a different window

Posted by on June 2, 2011 at 12:25 pm

Episode 65 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/06/02 ~ Mental Health: A new view from a different window

Sometimes, because we don’t know what else to do instead, we just keep doing the same-old/same-old, hoping that one day we’ll be surprised and it will have made a difference. Despite the ever-increasing use of pharmaceuticals without results; and the frequently compromising and sometimes deadly consequences of doing just that, we persist… devoid of alternatives and unwilling to simply give up and settle for the misery we have come to know so well.

Often overlooked in the desire to assist and support others, are the challenges associated with Mental Health professionals tending to their own needs and interests. Staying well while steeped in the perceived ‘unwellness’ of others can be a far greater challenge than we think.

Join Louise and two women who have chosen to explore alternative ways to contribute meaningfully to their field of practice; while committed to staying well, themselves. Sometimes controversial, and always insightful, pause to consider that what we know we know does not always serve us in navigating unknown territory. Sometimes, we have to stand back far enough to be able to see ourselves.

In conversation with: Ella-Jean Schatzmann and Nancy Hanlon- Mental Health professionals with years of experience and boundless hope! Both Ella-Jean and Nancy have completed Engaging and Awakening Others – the second five-day WEL-Systems® intensive for accelerated evolution.

Ella-Jean Schatzmann is a Registered Social Worker in the province of Alberta (1999), committed to working with those who are mentally and emotionally ‘unwell’.  Since 2006, she has been working in a hospital setting as a Mental Health Clinician.

Nancy Hanlon has been a registered social worker since 2001, and has been present to many conversations with women involved in the medical and mental health systems.

Moving beyond a sound-byte life!

Posted by on May 26, 2011 at 11:23 am

Episode 64 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/05/26 ~ Moving beyond a sound-byte life!

It’s a busy world! Most of us, living busy lives on tight schedules, struggle to finish this ‘to-do’ list before we have to start the next. In our desire to get it all done, we separate, disconnect and compartmentalize the flow of our lives into manageable, bite-size chunks of outcomes and responsibilities…. and then we call that ‘living’!

There are other ways to live – and for that, we have to stop… take a long, hard look in the mirror… and own what looks back at us. Far beyond the desire to finally catch up to ourselves, we can create lives that make room not only for the truth of who we are but for the unfolding potential of who we desire to become. Imagine living your life that way, not only for your own wellbeing but for the invitation you can become to the people you care about, to create that for themselves.

We are highly contagious – and what we live becomes both permission and expectation for those who live with us, to explore that for themselves. How are you choosing to live your life, today? And how else might you redesign it, if you believed that you could?

Join Louise as she explores the pathway to living a meaningfully sustainable life. With guests who know what it is to walk the talk, be prepared to discover what’s getting in the way; and to reclaim your birthright to design the life of your choosing.

Be part of this journey that invites us all to find the courage to trust the curiosity that will lead us into a more authentic and expansive way of being ourselves.

In conversation with: WEL-Systems® Institute Affiliates and CODE Model Coaches™ Sheila Winter Wallace, Lisa Weiss, and Naomi Irons.

Each an expression of her own living truth, these courageous women know what it takes to live large and to live out loud! To find out more about these women, visit Sheila’s website, Lisa’s website and Naomi’s website.

Episode 63 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/05/19 ~ Birthing a New Paradigm ~ The Mother Daughter Dance

Guest Host: Naomi Irons

The Mother-Daughter relationship can be one of the most complex experiences. As adults, the tangled web of expectations and stories can keep us held captive to past events and experiences that continue to replicate the context within which we have come to know ourselves.

Discovering who and what we are behind the roles we have played allows us to stand in the now, to see ourselves differently and have a much more authentic and meaningful relationship engaging out of choice and not just habit.

Join guest host Naomi Irons with her mother, Holly Irons as they explore their own WEL-Systems® journeys and the impact this has had on their own relationship with themselves and each other. Not a journey without challenges and uncertainty, they will speak openly of the truth of their experience that has lead to discovering what a meaningful sustainable relationship means to each of them.

Explorers in A New World

Episode 62 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/05/12 ~ Explorers in A New World

Guest Host: Sheila Winter Wallace

Discovering Self in Awakening the Body… The Power of BSI (BodySpirit Integration)

These days, we look to fix our lives and our bodies so that we can feel good about being ourselves. We talk about climbing the ladder to success, paying our dues, keeping up with the Jones’s. The trajectory of, first, we must achieve something, so, then, we can do what we think we need to do, in order to become whom we would like to be, is tied to what we think will make us acceptable to ourselves and our collectives. We stick to thinking about where, when, what and how in searching for new and meaningful lives. While we want to live differently; still, we are reluctant to step into territory, unknown to us. We have been living this way forever, it seems… and, overall, that default has amounted to struggle and despair, the world over. And, because we know of no other way, we tell ourselves that our struggle is worthwhile, that it builds character… no pain, no gain. The body is the final frontier for the revelation of that struggle. What has been percolating, in the unseen, has been doing so for a very long time, once it shows up in tissue. That is when we come to the conclusion that our bodies have betrayed us and that we have to make that body ‘right’ in order to live.

What if we have it all wrong? What if it is all genius? What if there is nothing to fix? What if our bodies have not betrayed us? What if there is another way? What if we are quantum biological humans and our tissue, through which we express Self, is, in fact, our safe home and sure territory for moment-to- moment discovery of Self? What if our bodies are the only real and sure compasses by which we get to live rich and meaningful lives of wellbeing?

Join guest host, Sheila Winter Wallace as she engages in conversation about BSI with two women who have chosen to take the WEL-Systems® journey through the body to discover more of whom they can become. What each has discovered is that she is captain of her own ship.

In conversation with: Brandi Larochelle and Marie José Raymond.Brandi, working as an HR professional in the Public Service, lives in Nunavut and has recently awakened to this new voyage of Self discovery. Marie-José – a translator who owns and operates a translation company in Ottawa, Ontario – has been willingly riding the waves of her journey for a very long time.

Standing Alone

Posted by on May 5, 2011 at 10:24 am

Episode 61 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/05/05 ~ Standing Alone

Guest Host: Lisa Jordan Weiss

Often we feel that we must go it alone, that we must shoulder the burden all by ourselves. Is this true? Although each of us is on our own individual journey we are alone only if we choose this for ourselves.

Join guest-host Lisa J Weiss as she engages with Ella-Jean Schatzmann and Brandi LaRochelle as they share their experiences and perspectives.

In this episode we will explore the notion of standing alone and not being alone; that when we choose to look around we will see others, on their journey standing and or walking beside us, creating a community that goes beyond the physical space we share.

In conversation with: Ella-Jean Schatzmann, a resident of Canmore Alberta and part-time social worker in the area of mental Health and Brandi LaRochelle, an HR Administrator at the Nunavut Arctic College and a recent Decloaking and Living Authentically participant. These two women know too well what it means to stand alone at an environmental level, living hundreds of miles away from the WEL-Systems® community and yet each knowing they are not alone, knowing we all stand beside, and walk alongside them, as they discover the more of who they are and in turn become the beacon for others.

Death and Dying: Reconsidering the Inevitable Journey

Posted by on April 28, 2011 at 10:43 am

Episode 60 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/04/28 ~ Death and Dying: Reconsidering the Inevitable Journey

As the saying goes: In life, there are only two things you can be sure of – death and taxes. Yet, despite its inevitability, we are often confronted with our own fear, uncertainty and resistance to the idea of ‘death’.

What is ‘death’? What happens to us when we die? Where do we go and how do we get there? These questions are often left unexplored, with the consequence of generating more fear, sufficient to destabilize us.

Join Louise and her guest Sheila Winter Wallace as they explore the notion of ‘death’ through the eyes of a Quantum Biological Human™.

In conversation with: Sheila Winter Wallace – WEL-Systems Institute Affiliate and Certified CODE Model Coach – carries the wisdom that comes from living long and engaging meaningfully with others. In addition to many and varied certifications, Sheila’s background as an RN ensured that she would know intimately the joys of healing; and the sacred moments of closure when Life would transform itself.
