Episode 60 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/04/28 ~ Death and Dying: Reconsidering the Inevitable Journey

As the saying goes: In life, there are only two things you can be sure of – death and taxes. Yet, despite its inevitability, we are often confronted with our own fear, uncertainty and resistance to the idea of ‘death’.

What is ‘death’? What happens to us when we die? Where do we go and how do we get there? These questions are often left unexplored, with the consequence of generating more fear, sufficient to destabilize us.

Join Louise and her guest Sheila Winter Wallace as they explore the notion of ‘death’ through the eyes of a Quantum Biological Human™.

In conversation with: Sheila Winter Wallace – WEL-Systems Institute Affiliate and Certified CODE Model Coach – carries the wisdom that comes from living long and engaging meaningfully with others. In addition to many and varied certifications, Sheila’s background as an RN ensured that she would know intimately the joys of healing; and the sacred moments of closure when Life would transform itself. Thinking About… Technique

Posted by on April 22, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Your authenticity is the context within which your techniques and practices can be useful. But your techniques and practices without your authenticity will become the saran wrap that limits potential – yours and your clients.

TEDtalks ~ Birke Baehr: What’s wrong with our food system?

Posted by on

Our children are beginning to lead the way! Do we have the heart to listen and the courage to follow?

11-year-old Birke Baehr presents his take on a major source of our food — far-away and less-than-picturesque industrial farms. Keeping farms out of sight promotes a rosy, unreal picture of big-box agriculture, he argues, as he outlines the case to green and localize food production.

Birke Baehr wants us to know how our food is made, where it comes from, and what’s in it. At age 11, he’s planning a career as an organic farmer. Full bio and more links

Birthing a New Paradigm ~ Intimately Reclaiming Yourself

Posted by on April 21, 2011 at 12:30 pm

Episode 59 – Reclaiming Your Self ~ 11/04/21 ~ Birthing a New Paradigm ~ Intimately Reclaiming Yourself

Guest Host: Naomi Irons

Are you seeking depth and intimacy in your relationships and/or with yourself?

This conversation will invite you to discover intimacy from within as a way of being and as a way to co-create authentic meaning in relationships (marriage, parenting, friendships etc), rather then the outdated alternative of looking outside yourself to ‘get’ what you need from another, or on the flip side to ‘give’ what you think they need.

It takes great courage to reveal what we hold to be personal and private with the one person who can create a safe, intimate environment- ourselves.

We often compromise ourselves to create a sense of belonging in a relationship and end up creating experiences to recognize a ‘familiar’ sense of closeness. What we do not always recognize is, it is the closeness we feel inside ourselves in another’s presence that allows us to discover more, instead of making it another’s responsibility to make us feel a certain way. What we have been taught and modelled by those close to us in our lives, becomes the template for the intimacy we are re-creating with ourselves and in our relationships with others.

Get ready to step beyond the techniques and strategies of creating intimacy in your relationships and with yourself, to discover the courage that it takes to become both willing and able to reclaim yourself-intimately.

Join guest-host Naomi Irons with Lisa J Weiss and Angela Burton as they reclaim more of themselves through intimately sharing their journeys and their many discoveries along the way!

In conversation with: Lisa J Weiss and Angela Burton.

Lisa Weiss, WEL-Systems Institute Affiliate, CODE Model Coach™, is a sucessful busines woman who is ready, willing and able to guide and walk with you through your own journey of self-evolution. Lisa is founder of I of the Storm Coaching & Consulting; to find out more visit Lisa’s web site

On her journey of self-discovery Angela has become very curious about authentic leadership and the impact on employee engagement. She has discovered, authenticity is a way of being, and all she needed was the courage to show up and be herself.

Thinking About… Ageing

Posted by on April 20, 2011 at 12:57 pm

As a Quantum Biological Human, every wave (of sensory cues in the body) restructures the nervous system to become the perceptual filter that will be adept at engaging the next wave. If I don’t engage the wave that’s there, I never get to the next one. If I don’t get to the next one, I don’t evolve. I might grow older but I don’t evolve. The interesting part is that when I do evolve, I don’t need to grow older.

TEDtalks ~ Kathryn Schulz: On being wrong

Posted by on April 19, 2011 at 9:52 am

Most of us will do anything to avoid being wrong. But what if we’re wrong about that? “Wrongologist” Kathryn Schulz makes a compelling case for not just admitting but embracing our fallibility.

As you watch this video (or re-watch it multiple times), consider: In a world of infinite answers, it can be more interesting to be curious about the questions that further our evolution than the pursuit of a ‘right answer’ ..

Kathryn Schulz is the author of “Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error,” and writes “The Wrong Stuff,” a Slate series featuring interviews with high-profile people about how they think and… Full bio and more links

Thinking About… Isolation

Posted by on April 18, 2011 at 4:13 pm

I read… and I remember…. how easy it is to :

* isolate myself from my Self
* isolate myself from my own potential
* isolate myself from others
* isolate my inner conversations from the ones I have out loud
* isolate my raging inner truth from my well-heeled, outer expressions

Living a compartmentalized life never worked for me.
