“He’s just a chip off the old block!”  We read those words and know instantly what they mean: that we are an expression of those who have come before us.  How does that happen?   How do we get to be moulded and shaped in ways that leave us believing that we ARE what we’ve been told we are, devoid of any power to redefine or transform ourselves to be otherwise?   The answer is right before us and yet impossible for so many to recognize.  Take a moment to reconsider what history has offered and discover that we are not bound to what ‘was’ in the creation of who we might become.
