Food for thought…

As the Mayan Calendar comes to an end (most interpretations of the Mayan Long Count place this epic event on or near 21 December 2012), and over 17 years after he first published his seminal book on the subject, Fingerprints of the Gods: The Evidence of Earth’s Lost Civilization, Graham Hancock speaks out about the state of our planet, consciousness, time travel, and what he has learned on his remarkable journey through life.

In this provocative and often poignant interview, Graham speaks passionately and at length on these, and many other emotionally charged subjects, such as Atlantis, the significance of Göbekli Tepe, and his own experience with marijuana, ayahuasca, and DMT.

The interview is by Andrew Gough, who met with Graham in July 2012 in Graham’s home in the English West Country. A condensed version of the interview can be found in the September 2012 edition of New Dawn Magazine [http://www.newdawnmagazine.com/], and an extended version will be featured in The Heretic Magazine [http://thehereticmagazine.com/] (a new history and mystery magazine for which Andrew is Editor) on 1 November 2012, and still another version will be featured on Andrew’s ‘Arcadia’ [http://www.andrewgough.com/] website soon after that.

• Is your reaction in the area of the solar plexus (Power Centre)?
• Is it in the area just above and between the eyes (Third Eye)?
• Or is it much lower, in the area of the body just below the navel (2nd Chakra… family systems)?

This is what it feels like when an existing paradigm of ‘truth’ or ‘fact’ or ‘reality’ is being challenged. And for sure, this conversation is indeed, a paradigm-buster!

Many years ago, through his book ‘Fingerprints of the Gods’, I discovered Graham Hancock. From there, I voraciously consumed all that he wrote; and then moved with great enthusiasm and excitement to the work of others that I had discovered through him. In particular, John Anthony West and Robert Bauval – along with Graham Hancock – proffered a very different world for us all to consider.

At that time, much of what they proffered was ridiculed by the ‘experts’ and dismissed. It is no small challenge to come face-to-face with the dogma of anything… including the dogma of archeology. The great desire to have them just disappear was met – through their courage, tenacity and commitment to their own, unyielding inner truths – with seemingly endless determination to continue along a path that they could not deny themselves. The result today, is that the world is waking up!

Evolution of consciousness, for its own sake, is our birthright. Beyond that, it is an essential and underlying force that drives us to more than ‘be’.. and ‘become’. I am delighted to be rediscovering each of these amazing thinkers/adventurers at this time in my own evolution, as I reconnect with them in theirs. The excitement of knowing that we are all on the same page, at this time in history, encourages me to continue to follow my own path.

In this place, in the coming weeks, we’ll be offering you a link to something – a conversation, a video, etc. – that they have done/are doing, that captures my imagination. I will share that with you as well as my own thoughts, evoked by their perspective.

Things are not always as they seem.  For more than two decades, Graham Hancock has devoted his life to asking questions and considering the possibilities that lie just outside the boundaries of habits of mind.

As a speaker at the 2012 Tipping Point Prophets Conference., the following presentation offers the ‘big picture’ on a lifetime of discovery.  Amongst its numerous and significant challenges to our existing ‘truths’, the underlying process is one of challenging dogma; and in this case, the archeological dogma that has ruled, for far too long, our perceptions of ourselves, our world and our potential.  Judge for yourself how much of our ‘reality’ is in fact, a fiction handed down from one generation to the next.  Our best hope lies in our willingness to challenge ourselves.
