TEDtalks ~ Vilayanur Ramachandran: The neurons that shaped civilization

Curious about the science behind what we already know in experience?  Neuroscientist Vilayanur Ramachandran outlines the fascinating functions of mirror neurons. Only recently discovered, these neurons allow us to learn complex social behaviors, some of which formed the foundations of human civilization as we know it.

For other interesting videos, have a look at the vodpod sidebar widget (in the right column of this web page) entitled “WELweb’s videos” where we have been collecting videos of interest for a while – there are now more than 60 videos collected.  More recently we have also been posting videos in the Engage WEL-Sytstems area – select watch to list the videos that have been posted in that category.
