When Sandra Heron was diagnosed with cancer, she did not hear it as a death sentence but as a wake-up call to live!
Sandra, in creating this event and issuing the invitation, has said:
“I find the most healing element of this journey, for me, is the influence of who I surround myself with. I am one of the lucky ones. I realized early that I must draw a tribe around me and I have that with my WEL-Systems colleagues.
WEL-Systems (as many of you who are receiving this invite already know) is about women walking through our lives, AWAKE. My experience with cancer really gets dangerous if I make it one that is external to me: controlled, monitored, judged and supported externally. The conversation that I want to be in now is one with women who have a personal experience with cancer. I want to hold a conversation within the WEL-Systems Context, on Cancer and the truth of my experience as I walk through it.”
If this is something that also calls to you, please join Sandy as she gathers friends to play with a very different way of having a conversation as they create how to move forward by owning their cancer as private and intimate, not as public and external. “By bringing it back to a gathering of women and our experience, I believe that the influence on our lives can be profound.”
Details: Friday, January 30th – 9:00 a.m to 12:00 noon – WEL-Systems Institute – Kanata
